Biography

Dr. Nagy Abdulsamee Abdulhameed was born 27/5/1952 at Menofia Governorate. He got his Bachelor Degree of Dental Sciences from Faculty of Dentistry, Cairo University, May 1975. He gained his master degree in prosthodontics from Faculty of Dentistry, Alexandria University, December 1980. His doctor of philosophy in Dental Biomaterials has been finished at faculty of dentistry, Alexandria University, April 1985. He worked as Demonstrator, Prosthodontic Department, Faculty of Dentistry, Mansura University, 5/7/1976 – 11/12/1977, demonstrator, Dental Biomaterials Department, Faculty of Dentistry, Mansura University, 12/12/977 – 21/4/1981, Assistant lecturer, Dental Biomaterials Department, Faculty of Dentistry, Mansura University, 22/4/1981 – 16/9/1985, lecturer, Dental Biomaterials Department, Faculty of Dentistry, Mansura University, 17/9/1985- 29/12/1991, assistant professor, Dental Biomaterials Department, Faculty of Dentistry, Mansura University, 30/12/1991 – 6/7/1994. Then he attached as consultant Prosthodontics, Dental Center, King Fahad Hospital, Al-Madinah Al-Menawarah, Kingdom of Saudia Arabia, 1/7/1988 –14/8/2000. Then he shifted to work at private university as assistant professor, Dental Biomaterials, College of Oral and Dental Medicine, Misr University for Science & Technology (MUST), Egypt, 16/8/2000 – 11/9/2004. At the same university he became a full professor & head of Dental Biomaterials, 12/9/2004 – 1/6/2014. His current position is vice dean of graduate studies and researches, in this college, 2/6/2014 till now.

Research Interest

Removable and fixed prosthodontics (overdentures, post crown, implantology); Dental Biomaterials (curing denture resins by different methods like pressure cooker, microwave energy, visible light, and laser); Laser applications in dentistry; Evidence based dentistry.
